NJSRN ADOPTION APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest in being the Life Line that helps to save another Miniature Schnauzer by adopting from New Jersey Schnauzer Rescue Network, Inc. (NJSRN)! This application is an attempt to learn more about you, your family and lifestyle, and the type of dog that you would like to adopt from NJSRN. Please give some thought to these questions and be as honest and thorough as you can in your responses. The information provided in this form helps us as we match dogs in our rescue program to their new families.

Please note that NJSRN requires a veterinary reference and two personal references or – if no veterinary reference is available – three personal references. Your personal references may include a groomer, pet-sitter, co-worker, friend, neighbor, etc. No relatives, roommates, or significant others, please. Also, please make sure that their contact information is correct and complete.

This application is the first step in our adoption process and we need the application before we talk to you about any of the dogs in our rescue program. As you complete the application, we encourage you to be honest and thorough in your responses. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers to the questions we ask, and an accurate and complete application helps us with the matching process. When you complete and submit the application, you will see a message indicating that the form is complete, and it will be submitted to NJSRN automatically: you will not receive a separate email. Please let your references know that we will be calling.

When we receive your application, we will check to make sure that it is complete and will contact you to request any missing information. We then share your completed application with our members and add your name to our waiting list. Although we're a small volunteer organization, NJSRN works hard to remain in contact with potential adopters. We encourage you to view the dogs available for adoption on our website and to contact the dog’s champion (listed in its bio) if you are interested in a particular dog. Don’t be discouraged if the process takes a little longer than you would like - the wait is definitely worth it!
